We kept watching solid contractors get turned down because a lender saw one bad quarter or a low credit score and stopped reading. So in 2001 we started SFS to read the whole file.
We came to lending from the other side of the desk. The people behind SFS have owned and run companies through good years and lean ones. A slow winter or a used machine doesn't scare us. We've dealt with both ourselves.
We lend our own money and make every decision in house. Each client gets one account manager, and that person's job is to find a way to yes, even when it takes an unusual route.
Since then we've funded more than 500 businesses. Most are contractors and excavators, and the rest run everything from trucking fleets to food processing plants.
